Matcha has been used in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies for nearly a thousand years. It is made from shade-grown tea leaves, avoiding direct sunlight and stimulating growth in chlorophyll which results in the vibrant green colour. Matcha is a very smooth and refreshing drink with a slightly sweet after-taste. Great to drink hot or cold!
Directions Use one-quarter teaspoon (1g) per 30ml cup. Add to hot water in the cup or a bowl, and mix thoroughly. Use a whisk for best results. Serve.
